Review & Description
The core purpose of this book is to educate parents, teachers and yoga professionals in a kid-popular and educational sequence of yoga poses to the twenty-six letters of the English alphabet. The poses challenge children to utilize kinesthetic movement and deep breathing as they learn the alphabetical letters and sounds while they invoke their creative spirits.

Betsy Stix:
As a child Betsy watched animals bend and stretch and tried to imitate their flexibility, agility, economy of movement, and grace. She was a tree climber, horseback rider, runner, soccer player, and gymnast, and by the time she began studying the asanas in college she had already acquired a list of injuries and imbalances. She quickly noticed that yoga made her feel better. She became an English, French, and yoga teacher and has taught children and adults for the last twenty-five years. The two constants in her life have been yoga and teaching. She has completed 3 yoga teacher training programs and is a Thai Yoga Massage therapist. She holds a B.A. in English from Williams College and an M.A. from Stanford U. in Curriculum Development and Teacher Education.
As a teacher Betsy tries to help her students connect to their breath, their bodies, and their beauty. She currently teaches English, Creative Writing, and Yoga at Besant Hill School as well as kids’ and adult yoga classes in the Ojai Valley. She is grateful to all her teachers, especially her family and the Earth, for their love and patience.
Christina Enneking:
After more than two decades of practicing yoga while balancing leadership positions in the corporate world, Christina Enneking founded Heart Happy Yoga in 2010. A certified Yoga Alliance™ instructor and level II Reiki practitioner, Christina creates bridges between energy and rest, playfulness and intention, creativity and wisdom. Christina’s style reflects the influences of many yoga experiences and respected yoga masters across the globe while sharing her own sense of creativity and flow, not to mention sparking individual authenticity within her students.
Christina is honored to be a guide for spreading the power of yoga to audiences of all ages through experiential learning. Her love and aptitude for kids’ yoga has been spawned by her two children who have been practicing yoga since they were in the womb, daughter Carly and son Will. Christina believes connection with others in mindful collaboration while practicing compassion and creativity are essential building blocks for improving the state of our own lives and others. Christina is honored to be in collaboration with Betsy Stix while developing Little Bea’s Yoga for Kids and continues to express gratitude every day for the gift of yoga, beautiful partnerships and a life practice dedicated to consciousness, creativity, love, and wisdom, all in equal measure.
